October 10, 2017 - Dear CSEE Parents, Guardians, Family, and Friends,

We want to send a big thank you to everyone for the donation of items for the Hurricane Relief Campaign. Although there are reports of severe damage in both Mexico and Puerto Rico, we are hopeful that through the support of many, these areas will once again develop and stand strong.

Please keep the donations coming, as we are sending a second shipment this upcoming week. For a list of items being requested for donation, please see the attached flyer.

CSEE asks parents to stay up to date and informed about their child’s education and ongoing activities at school by becoming active members of CSEE’s Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Parents are encouraged to attend the monthly PTO meetings. For a list of all the upcoming PTO meeting dates and times, please see the attached flyer.

CSEE is proud to announce our Athletic Team rosters for our Flag Football, Cheerleading, and Volleyball teams for the 2017 Fall Athletic season. We hope to see everyone come out and support our flag football, cheerleading, and newly-established volleyball team in their future games throughout the Fall season.

October 2, 2017 - Dear CSEE Parents and Guardians,

CSEE students, teachers, and staff are invited to wear orange t-shirts in support of Unity Day on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 to show their support against bullying.

Discussions will be held in classrooms to allow students to openly speak and discuss their experiences with bullying and cyberbullying, and how these experiences have affected them and how they dealt with these moments.

*NOTE: Students are still to come to school wearing their school pants and/or skirt and school shoes.

September 29, 2017 - Dear CSEE Parents and Guardians,

Due to the recent natural disasters in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, and the Caribbean, there are thousands of United States citizens in despair and in need of serious help. Mayor Mike Spano and the City of Yonkers are urging residents to donate and help the people of Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean Islands.

The Charter School of Educational Excellence is currently collecting items for Hurricane Relief. Please consider helping in any way possible, and showing your support by donating any of the necessary and requested items on the attached flyer.

September 28, 2017 - On September 27 and 28, 2017, CSEE 1st and 2nd Grade classes took a field trip to Barton Orchards Poughquag, New York. Students enjoyed the stunning fall scenery and walked the beautiful orchards, picked a variety of fresh grown apples, had the opportunity to ride in a hayride, and many more fun farm activities.

Yonker's sole charter school has proposed an expansion to include high school grades, sparking debate between its proponents and those who support the city school district.
